Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Linga' starts
Just a week before the release of his upcoming magnum opus 'Kochadiiyaan', Superstar Rajinikanth has started working on his next project titled as 'Linga'. This is a rare phenomenon at least in recent times in the film career of Superstar as the veteran actor has been following the principle of taking at least a year gap between one film and another right from the past decade.
'Linga' that is going to be produced by Rockline Venkatesh and directed by K.S.Ravikumar was launched in Mysore with a Pooja in the famous Samundeeshwari temple, today ( May 2). Today is Friday which is generally consired as the auspicious day in a week and also the 'Akshaya Thrithiyai' day which is considered as most suitable day to start a new project.
Superstar was clad in the traditional white shirt and dhoti, and he was also seen with a thick mustache and a new hairstyle which is will be one of his looks for 'Linga'.
Since the film was launched in Mysore, Rajinikanth's good friend cum Kannada Superstar Ambhareesh and his actress wife Sumalatha took part in the pooja and wished the team a grand success.
'Linga' stars Rajinikanth in dual roles and Anushka and Sonakshi Sinha have been confirmed as the heroines. Telugu actor Jagapthi Babu will be donning an important role in the film. A.R.Rahman will score the music and director Pon Kumaran of 'Charulatha' fame has written the story for 'Linga.'
The shoot will begin today and will continue for the next 40 days according to sources. Meanwhile Rajini is expected to be back in Chennai on May 9, which is the release day of 'Kochadiiyaan.'
